Description

The electronic music festival Department has created a place for underground culture in the middle of Stockholm. During the first years, the festival took place in the slaughterhouse area of Stockholm. Since 2021, the location has been the island of Långholmen on Södermalm in Stockholm.

From the beginning, Department Festival has aimed to be a place for innovative electronic dance music and at the same time to drive a sustainable value base and be at the forefront of the change that is necessary for the live music industry. The festival participates in the European project Green Deal Circular Festivals.
