Description:

Germany’s best kept musical secret, Haldern Pop, is set to return on 9th-11th August 2018, boasting an impressive bill of live music including Sleaford Mods, kevin Morby, Ariel Pink, King Gizzard & the Wizard Lizard, Dirty Projectors, Fink, Jenny Lewis, The Lemon Twigs, John Maus, Curtis Harding, Lisa Hannigen and Jake Bugg

The three day festival, now in its fourth decade, is set in the small village of Haldern, located in the beautiful lower Rhine Valley in Germany. Starting in 1984 by 14 altar boys from the village, the event has now grown to a much-loved and successful 7000 capacity multi-genre music event, with the Haldern community very much continuing to be part of the fabric of the festival.

Over 65 acts will play across six unique stages, including the 1000 capacity Spiegel tent, a mirrored wooden dance tent from the 1920s, and as a result the unassuming village of Haldern will be transformed into a melting pot of music, with a wide and eclectic mix of genres represented, as well as international and domestic talent.

“The beauty is within the small size of the festival, and the trust that the ticket holders buy their tickets without the line-up announcement is the most important and valued thing for us,” Festival Director Stefan Reichmann told us.

Musical directions:

transgenre, rock, indie, hip hop, soul
