The world is full of good solutions, ideas and procedures - and even within the crowd management community, some of them are quite unknown, although they could be useful for others, too. Thus, the Event Safety Award’s aim is to spread these good ideas by bringing them into the spotlight.
The Event Safety Award will be given to a project or good practice implemented this year at a European festival in the field of event safety. This could be an innovation, a well-established procedure or the documentation of a development process that improved the occupational health and safety, security, service for the attendees and/or working conditions for the staff.
The award is given out by a jury panel of experts assembled of YES Group Committee members, who will assess the value of the submitted application for the Event Safety sector, especially in the festival context.
Please note that the EUROPEAN FESTIVAL AWARDS are exclusively dedicated to popular music festivals in Europe. Events outside this category are not eligible to participate and will be withdrawn from the competition by the jury.

The winner will be announced during the European Festival Awards ceremony at De Oosterpoort in Groningen, The Netherlands, on January 14th, 2026. We hope to see you there.
