Award description

To apply, please fill out this form and upload a presentation that outlines your brand activation, with a maximum of 10 slides, in .pdf format only. (If you wish to provide further info via download links, please note that we do not accept WeTransfer links, as they expire. Please use more permanent services such as Dropbox or Google Drive and make sure the jury has the right to view and download the folders in question).

The Brand Activation Award celebrates sponsorship projects that create a better festival experience for all. It acknowledges projects in which a festival and its audience are at the heart of the sponsor’s marketing strategy. In short: we’re looking for exciting brand activations done in the right place at the right time!

Festivals and sponsors can apply together with a project that meets at least one (but possibly more) of the following criteria:
<ul>
 	<li>Provides added value for the audience, the festival and the commercial sponsor.</li>
 	<li>Shows measurable results, either in terms of direct sales or an increase in brand awareness.</li>
 	<li>Follows a clear strategic plan of communication during the festival and also before / after the event. Long-term cooperation is preferred.</li>
 	<li>Highlights social responsibilities and (environmental) sustainability.</li>
 	<li>Represents a new way of thinking the keywords "innovation", "uniqueness" and "audience experience".</li>
</ul>
IMPORTANT APPLICATION RULES:
<ul>
 	<li>The applicant is always the festival and the sponsor (together), but the application itself can be filled in by either of the two parties.</li>
 	<li>The application must include a presentation of a maximum of 10 slides (.pdf format) introducing the project. The presentation is important for the jury to fully understand the project.</li>
 	<li>Applicants are also encouraged to provide a video (through a link) helping to further introduce the project.</li>
 	<li>Applicants can apply with as many projects as they like.</li>
</ul>

The winners will be announced during the European Festival Awards ceremony at De Oosterpoort in Groningen, The Netherlands, on January 15th, 2025. We hope to see you there.
