Description:

Jazz in the Park has always been about finding friendly and creative ways to interact with the local community and to build bridges between festival goers and jazz music. Since 2013, the festival takes place every summer in the Central Park of Cluj-Napoca.

Now, at its 8th edition, Jazz in the Park has evolved into a musical and cultural project that has a great impact on the local community. With initiatives like the Jazz in the Park Fund or the International Jazz in the Park Competition, the festival became an instrument that involves the local community in the city’s cultural life, on one side, and a place of reunion between jazz artists, both underground and legendary, on the other.

Being an open-air, free-access event, the festival has won the admiration and support of the local community and has made it clear that everyone can enjoy some good jazzy vibes, regardless of gender, status, age or background.

Jazz in the Park won the title of Europe’s Best Small Festival in 2019 at the European Festival Awards in Groningen NL.
