Description:
Lovefest was created in 2007 by the hand of young enthusiasts from Vrnjacka Banja, a small town in central Serbia. The festival began as a one-day music event on today’s famous Bridge of Love, and hence the name of the event. During the first year with minimal resources and without the support of commercial sponsors or the state and local government, Lovefest was visited by more than 1000 people from nearby towns during just that one day.
As early as following year, the festival moved to the Summer stage, today known as “Danilo Bata Stojković Stage”, and apart from domestic performers, the Festival also hosted a big name in the world of electronic music, Marshall Jefferson, which attracted around 6000 people from Serbia as well as the growing interest of commercial sponsors.
Until 2013, Lovefest was held on the Summer stage and lasted for three days, and the number of visitors grew from year to year. Recognizing the great interest of people not only from Serbia, but also from the region, the need for a bigger location had arisen, and so since 2014, Lovefest is located in the central city park, where on one day the festival hosts more than 25,000 guests from all of Europe.
Lovefest was so far visited by more than half a million visitors, and over 3000 performers from all over the world performed there. For the vast majority of both performers and visitors, a stay in Serbia and Vrnjacka Banja because of Lovefest was their first visit to our country.
Musical directions:
