The guide “Towards Zero Waste Festivals” helps festivals overcome current challenges in sustainable waste management. Although it is aimed at Greenfield Events in the UK, parts of its content are applicable outside the UK as well. It was published by Vision: 2025, Julie’s Bicycle and Resource Futures in March 2023.

According to the Vision: 2025 website, Resource Futures is a national waste and resources consultancy that was commissioned in 2022 by Vision: 2025 and Julie’s Bicycle “to help understand the challenges and opportunities for sustainable waste management at UK greenfield festivals, and provide solutions-focused recommendations for events and the industry. The report is the result of a literature review, in-depth stakeholder interviews, specialist knowledge from Resource Futures, and input from an industry working group.”
