Description
Grape Festival was founded with the ambition to organize a middle-sized, European-level festival for the young generation with the dramaturgy focused on the global music scene. Both ecological awareness and visual presentation play a huge role in the festival. The multi-genre event takes place at an airport, and it lasts from Friday to Sunday morning without a pause. The festival area doesn’t close and includes a tent village.
6000 visitors attended the first year of the festival; at the moment, the capacity is at 30,000 attendees. More than 100 artists (with approx. 30 being foreign) perform on seven stages. Two of these are dedicated exclusively to the techno/house and hip-hop genres.
The festival was founded in 2010 by a group of friends. The original idea was to create a small-sized festival for approximately 2000 people in the pleasant environment of the town Pezinok known for its tradition of wine production. That’s where the name of Grape Festival comes from.
