Description

KIKUMU is an international festival of contemporary cinema, art and music, brining together over 60 artists from all over the world. The festival is held at the Valve Pormeister designed modernist school and its surroundings close to Tallinn, Estonia. Musical genres vary from jazz to techno and everything in between. Notable artists who have performed at the festival are Gilles Peterson, Panda Bear and Sonic Boom, Matthew Herbert, Peter Björn and John, Jazzanova, Nubian Twist, Maria Somerville etc. Kikumu has showcased several Venice Biennale artists and has over 7 galleries present during festival. The cinema program is curated by the oldest arthouse cinema in Tallinn, Kino Sõprus. The festival also has extensive talks, nature and children activities program. It is the largest festival of contemporary music, art and cinema in the region.

Genre & Program

Acid Jazz, Indie, Electronic, Techno, Soul, Dance, World Music, Rock, Classic. The Art program is curated by leading galleries in the region, the cinema program is curated by Kino Sõprus, the oldest arthouse cinema in the region. There is a talks program, kids program and nature program.
