Description

Founded in 1991 by Perry Farrell as a touring festival, Lollapalooza remains a driving force and innovation engine in global festival culture more than 30 years later.

From the very beginning, Lollapalooza set new standards: it was among the first festivals to bring together artists from a wide range of genres on one lineup, pioneered the touring festival concept, introduced multi-day formats and additional stages, and combined music with art and social engagement.

Over the years, the festival has continued to evolve – embracing sustainability initiatives, welcoming electronic acts to main stages, developing family-friendly programming, and expanding internationally.

Today, Lollapalooza has grown into a world-class annual festival in Chicago and several countries including Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, France, and India, attracting music fans from around the globe.

Established in 2015 as the first European edition, Lollapalooza Berlin now takes place at the historic grounds of Olympiapark Berlin. The two-day festival brings together a diverse mix of Indie, Rock, EDM, Pop and Rap, alongside interactive areas dedicated to lifestyle, fashion and sustainability, as well as a dedicated program for children.

Lollapalooza Berlin is also the first festival in Germany to be certified as sustainable according to ISO 20121, audited by GUTcert.
