Description
The first Rock im Park festival took place in 1995 in the Olympic stadium in Munich. Since 1997, the festival has found its home in Nuremberg. Meanwhile, Rock im Park has risen to be one of the biggest festivals in Europe and offers far more than “just” rock music. The festival has become a gathering place for the hottest bands from all over the world, e.g. Red Hot Chili Peppers, System of a Down, Metallica, Iron Maiden and the Foo Fighters, but also German legends like Die Ärzte, Die Toten Hosen, Rammstein and many more.
Four stages and more than 75 acts ensure a broad spectrum from rock, metal, to hip hop, electronic music and everything in between. Furthermore, the location close to the city of Nuremberg is unique and creates a special atmosphere in combination with a historical background. The Zeppelinfeld used to be the location for the Nuremberg Rally, the biggest propaganda events in the time between 1933 and 1938. Today, Rock im Park is a festival for international understanding, peace and freedom!
