Description

The SION SOUS LES ETOILES festival is located in Sion, Switzerland’s sunniest city, at the foot of the Swiss Alps, 40 minutes from major ski resorts such as Crans and Nendaz, which are linked to Verbier.

The festival takes place on soccer pitches, drained in case of rain, and surrounded by trees. This means that the grass is green and doesn’t turn to mud when it rains, thanks to the drainage system. It’s common for artists on stage to say that they feel like they’re playing on a golf course.

From the stage, the artists see nothing but vineyards, mountains and eternal snow. There are also two illuminated castles behind the stage.

Thanks to its configuration, the SION SOUS LES ETOILES festival is not just another music festival, it’s also an exceptional vacation venue where festival-goers can surf on Europe’s biggest artificial wave, go indoor parachuting, play golf just 5 minutes from the festival, sleep in the resort and wake up in nature, go mountain biking and tour the cellars of renowned Swiss vineries.

We have doubled the number of spectators each year, because this experience is unique.

We’re also the only festival in Switzerland to have its energy certified as 100% ecological, since it comes exclusively from dams, fed by glacier water.
