Description
Stars in town is one of the most beautiful and sympathetic festivals in Switzerland. Over 50,000 guests from near and far enjoy great concerts on various stages on the “Piazza Grande” of German Switzerland in the charming Schaffhauser old town. Numerous side events, street food and cosy bars in a unique ambience complete the versatile program. After a two-year break due to the corona pandemic, the festival returned in 2022 with a new style and lasted, for the first time, for two weeks.
The national press praised the music festival as “enchantingly organized”, “probably the most beautiful festival in Switzerland” and “top acts in an incomparable setting”. The event location in the middle of the northernmost city of Switzerland is decorated particularly beautiful: covered in colourful lights, the historical houses create the perfect setting in the picturesque old town. More than 600 inspired helpers, as professional hosts, make your festival visit an all-round enjoyable experience.
Schaffhausen is known for the wonderful old town and the Rhine Falls (the largest waterfall in Europe). The city has around 35,000 inhabitants. It is also the home base of the famous International Watch Co. (IWC). The international airport, Zurich-Kloten, is only 45 kilometres away.
