In the whole village as well as on the mountain

World-famous stars in a very intimate space, reduced to the musical essence, promising new talents and well-known DJs in front of an incomparable setting – the acoustic music festival Zermatt Unplugged has become essential for the European music scene. The first edition took place in 2007, founded as a Singer-Songwriter Festival. By now, each edition more than 80 concerts during 5 days take place on 14 different stages, spread throughout the whole village as well as on the mountain.

The line-up fascinates with a versatile, top-class and multinational program: besides international top artists such as James Morrison, Nelly Furtado, Simple Minds, Alanis Morissette, Billy Idol and Lionel Richie, numerous newcomers guarantee extraordinary acoustic shows. The combination of acoustic music, impressive mountain scenery, beautiful spring snow, the gracious hospitality of Zermatt and the incomparable atmosphere of the Matterhorn make the festival a unique experience in Europe.
