FUSION Guide: Social Innovation at Festivals
The FUSION guide, Social Innovation at Festivals – A Collection of 15 Inspiring Initiatives from across Europe, consists of carefully chosen good-practice cases representing different approaches, methods, models for collaboration and a cultural variety. The FUSION team researched, collected knowledge and studied multiple social innovation practices, collaborative projects, and NGO initiatives from various European festivals. The case stories include short descriptions, photos and video links – giving insights into the workings of the different practices. The guide features examples of 7 YOUROPE members: Roskilde Festival, Pohoda, EXIT, Sziget, We Love Green, Ruisrock and Superbloom.
It will be available in English, German, Danish, Spanish and Turkish.
Social Innovation at Festivals is part of the EU-funded project FUSION – Festivals as Social Innovation Incubators. In FUSION, experts on festivals and youth work have joined forces to create a tailored suite of resources, so that festivals can realize their potential as platforms for social innovation. Besides the guide, these include a how-to toolbox for developing projects specifically for festivals, and alliances between festivals and social innovation organizations. FUSION will enable young people/organizations to use festivals as a steppingstone to implement their own ideas, products and technologies for the benefit of society.
