FUSION Toolbox: Developing projects for festivals
The FUSION Toolbox is for festivals and organizations working with festivals like NGOs, non-profits, associations, educators, youth workers etc. Its purpose is to lead through the complete process of developing a social project to take place in a festival setting. In eight stages, it assists and provides guidance and ideas by asking important questions that the project developers need to answer at some point. The answers to these questions should guide organizations and festivals from the creation of a social innovation project to the implementation and evaluation of it. The Toolbox includes many links, videos, photos etc. to provide further explanations. YOUROPE members Roskilde Festival and Superbloom provided a lot of this content directly from the field. Additionally, there is a glossary of festival and youth work language.
The Toolbox is available in English, German, Spanish, Turkish and Danish.
The FUSION Toolbox is part of the EU-funded project FUSION – Festivals as Social Innovation Incubators. In FUSION, experts on festivals and youth work have joined forces to create a tailored suite of resources, so that festivals can realize their potential as platforms for social innovation. Besides the toolbox, these include a good-practice guide with social innovation projects at European festivals and alliances between festivals and social innovation organizations. FUSION will enable young people/organizations to use festivals as a steppingstone to implement their own ideas, products and technologies for the benefit of society.
