Strategy: Terraforma Festival Case Study
At Terraforma, Italy (daily capacity 3,000), environmental sustainability is embedded in the design and planning of the festival. The team believe that the festival has an important role in raising awareness of social and environmental issues within their community, and the event combines music with artistic installations, sustainable architecture and workshops to “form an atmosphere capable of stimulating the listener’s sensibility to think about the present and the future in a new way.”
The case study is part of the Erasmus+ project FUTURE FESTIVAL TOOLS, in which YOUROPE together with a team of partners from all over Europe developed GREEN FESTIVAL STORIES – A COLLECTION OF INSPIRING EXAMPLES FROM ACROSS EUROPE. This guide shows you great cases in sustainable festival development within six focus areas:
- Energy
