European Festival Conference #6, Portugal

Everybody who loves festivals and good conversations should mark their calendars: YOUROPE’s biannual conference format European Festival Conference returns for the sixth time from November 18-21. The destination of this year’s EFC is Évora in Portugal.

The EFC is dedicated fully to festivals and more intimate than other conferences because the number of participants is limited. “It’s special to be there on a social level,” YOUROPE’s chairman, Christof Huber, said, because you spend three days together without any outside distractions.

Participants will arrive on Tuesday, Nov 18, which offers a welcome reception and dinner. The two conference days, Wednesday and Thursday, include an excursion to the old town of Évora and an excursion to the local winery Fitapreta Vinhos with dinner.

The hotel offers bungalows to stay in, conference rooms, a pool bar, a lobby bar, wellness and spa. Breakfast, lunch and welcome dinner will be served in the hotel restaurant.

The conference closes with a party on Thursday night. Delegates will leave after breakfast on Friday.

YOUROPE offers a conference package that includes 3 hotel nights, 2 conference days, internal transport, breakfast, lunch, dinner, wellness, and excursions. Participants only have to pay for extra drinks and flights. Prices: €600 per person for sharing a private bungalow (2-3 pax), or €700 per person for single use of a private bungalow. YOUROPE members get a discount of €100 for a maximum of 2 people.
